4.6 @4PM - SCIENCE of S&M: NEUROLOGY of the KINKY BRAIN 2.0 - Brain Hacking (hybrid event)
Fetish is not a mental illness or a moral failure. It is a sexual orientation; you were born this way. Being differently pleasured can be difficult enough without the stigma of mental illness, so let's look at the facts; It is estimated that 26.2% of Americans suffer from Mental Illness - that's 57.7 million people. Furthermore 8-11% of the population engage in BDSM. So naturally, a percentage of them will suffer from mental illness. But correlation isn't causation.
Come join us in an interesting & thought provoking discussion that will challenge your belief systems, and open up new possibilities as we explore the Neuroscience of S&M, and how you can use it to rid yourself of unwarranted shame, create more powerful Domination skills and more easily recognize when someone is dangerously unstable
